Hi, the name this end is William Batey (Bill) callsign G0DEO / 9H1IA / 9H1BBS / 8P9HY (System Operator)
Been advised to pass on the information regarding the new repeaters I have set up on the Island of Malta.
I am the owner operator of a new VHF and UHF repeater system that went into operation on the 1st January 2006. Both repeaters are operated under my 9H1BBS licence and identify themselves every 15 minutes in CW at 18WPM as follows:-
9H1BBS RV6 (9H1BBS Repeater VHF Ch6) and 9H1BBS RU7 (9H1BBS Repeater UHF Ch 7)
Both repeaters are carrier accessed with a 1 second tail. No tone burst or CTCSS is required.
The VHF Repeater (9H1BBS RV6) is operational as follows:-
Output - 145.7500Mhz
Input - 145.1500Mhz
Power - 18 Watts / 12.55dBW
Repeater Unit - Kenwood TKR-750
Cavities - Telewave
Antenna - Diamond X50N Omnidirectional
Locator - JM75EV
Town - Mtarfa on the Island of Malta
Antenna Altitude ASL - 145 Meters / 475 Feet
Antenna Altitude AGL - 22 Meters / 72 Feet
The UHF Repeater (9H1BBS RU7) is operational as follows:-
Output - 433.1750Mhz
Input - 434.7750Mhz
Power - 16 Watts / 12.04dBW
Repeater Unit - Kenwood TKR-850
Cavities - Telewave
Antenna - Diamond X50N Omnidirectional
Locator - JM75EV
Town - Mtarfa on the Island of Malta
Antenna Altitude ASL - 145 Meters / 475 Feet
Antenna Altitude AGL - 22 Meters / 72 Feet
Both Repeaters are internet linked on a 24/7 basis using two dedicated EchoLink systems.
The VHF Repeater EchoLink number is 5661 9H1BBS-R
The UHF Repeater EchoLink number is 278185 9H1RA-R
The Repeater systems and the VHF 9H1BBS-R 5661 EchoLink node are looked after by Mark Vella 9H1GP (Assistant System Operator).
While the UHF 9H1RA-R 278185 EchoLink node is provided and operated by Ray Abela 9H1RA.
