VETTING KEY

This page gives an explanation of the various keys and terms used in the main vetting page.
Hopefully it will help to explain the various stages in the vetting and licensing process.

START HERE In 2005 it was agreed that the e1 form would be the accepted medium of application. It is based on the widely used Microsoft Exceltm 97 format.
The current version should always be used and is obtained from this web site: click here
Save the form to your own PC using a file name that includes the callsign of the repeater and then complete every field.

After the form has been completed send it to your ETCC regional or specialist member for vetting, details can be found here.
The contacts PAGE contains a form which will allow you to send the application as an attachment.

details of the various stages in the vetting and licensing process:

stage 1
Your application has been received but has not been vetted by Regional or Specialist ETCC Member.
Query at this stage to ETCC
stage 2
Application has been vetted and will have been passed to Ofcom
Query at this stage Ofcom (via ETCC)
stage 3
Frequency clearance has been received from Ofcom/primary user as appropriate.
May still be awaiting other internal referral stages.
Query at this stage Ofcom (via ETCC)
stage 4
Application has been approved and NoV issued. It should now appear in main repeater listings.
Duration is calculated from "APPLICATION RECEIVED" time to current time.
